Kids!! I used to rip the heads off of my expensive barbies and throw them in the fish pond outside of my bedroom window the moment i was alone after opening it… It’s not just a boy thing. Yes dolls and pink are for girls cars and most sports are boys. Do you realize all kids learn football soccer and baseball in gym class? At daycare or preschool the teachers dont tell kids what toys they can/cant play with. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and style of parenting we are not robots. I personally dont care what my kids play with both my daughters love their dolls and ponies but also love getting dirty and cars because thats what mom n dad like doing.
I grew up following my dad so i love anything to do with cars and mud. My hubby runs in demo derbies every summer we help him tear down and paint his car every year and sit in stands to watch. You can still hold gender roles while teaching to understand the other gender. Gender roles have changed so much…

Anyone remember when women couldn’t work outside the home they were meant to stay home n maintain home n family? Stop criticizing start supporting we are all parents we should be lifting each other not tearing down. It amazes me how much fighting this post has caused! I am a mother of 4, 2 boys and 2 girls, they play together with each other’s toys all time. I’ve never been bothered by any of them playing with the opposite genders toys. I believe a child should be able to explore the world and use their imagination in every way possible.
I’ve seen boys playing hospital and using dolls as patients, playing firefighter and using dolls as victims needing to be rescued, and the list goes on! One thing people need to remember is kids don’t think the same way as adults do, they think outside of the box, they don’t know about social norms or what is expected of them or ok for them to do. They only know what we teach them!
I thought ow a girl its all about dolls and princesses and dresses … So vain as she loves all toys . Trucks and the rest .
