It would almost certainly, even under the best case, be destined for drydock for the rest of the war, so would be effectively dead for that purpose. Now most seem to agree that it would certainly died because of the concentrated attack, and that is certainly most probable, but one of the best defenses of such ships isn’t their AAA’s ability to destroy incoming planes, but rather force them to avoid the fire, and thus missing their strike, and with the vastly better AAA of the Iowa combined with Fletcher it is feasible that it, combined with the vastly better damage control of the USN, that it could at the very least, have most of the hands be saved in the case of it being lost, if not outright stay afloat(though would most likely require to be toed to safety, leaving it vulnerable to follow up strikes and most likely scuttled). There are many USN ships that took critical hits, that the Japanese thought would certainly be fatal so reported dead… multiple times during the same battle. Now that’s an important fact, that it required time for the damage control teams to repair the ship between attacks, which in fact would fit this scenario as the attack on the Yamato took place over the course of hours from multiple different carrier groups. In the cases where the ship was lost, the often managed to save most of the hands as the sinking was slow enough where they had times to evacuate, unlike that of many Japanese ships. Then again, if the Japanese dedicated this much to an assault on a single battleship they would almost certainly use kamikaze, which more or less negate the benefit of forcing planes to avoid, since they aren’t really caring if their plane can pull them out of the dive. Absolutely! Yet some of what he says is still a popular message. I get and understand that to a degree. I don’t agree with most of it, but I understand it. Those popular messages are what got him elected, I get that also. The nonsensical application of that messaging as POTUS I cannot wrap my brain around. (I tried through the first year or so) With the 4 years of hyperbolic lies being endured, even embraced for the sake of that message, I cannot understand, nor tolerate much of it, especially the racism. Then we had 2020 when a bad Presidency turned into a literal and complete disaster. Donald Trump is not only wrong and does not align politically with a majority of Americans, he is bad for the US and turned to be a threat to our future and to our very government. Trump went from a populist outsider anti-Washington extreme conservative to a very poor leader, to a criminal. He is not just wrong for our society, he deserves to be removed from our society by being imprisoned. I live in rural Nova Scotia, Canada. Five winters ago, 17 cats in my village, which consists of about six roads, went missing. They were very likely killed by bobcats and coyotes known to live in our area. Kittens have been taken by eagles and ospreys. Not all predators are living creatures. We live a little over 1 km from a secondary highway. Pets have been struck and killed on that road. In North America, especially in rural areas, large geographic areas and small populations increase the need to travel by car, and that often happens at high speeds, thus increasing cat deaths. Cats are themselves predators, but small ones. No matter how smart they are, they may not be able to get away from or fight off a larger, faster and much hungrier animal. Many rescue groups in my country, including the two groups from which we adopted our current three cats, have adopters agree not to let their cats roam freely because studies show outdoor cats and indoor/outdoor cats live shorter lives than indoor-only cats. The difference in life expectancy can be shocking. Years ago, when only the truly eccentric didn’t let their cats outside, I lost one cat who went out one night and never returned. I suspect she was killed by a car or another animal. I had another cat killed in the street in front of our house by a driver who was traveling over the speed limit. I have chosen to keep all our subsequent cats indoors, providing them with extra activities, toys and attention, along with good viewing perches to the outdoors, which they don’t try to access. They’re all rescues, and maybe they understand they’re safer indoors. Product detail: Suitable for Women/Men/Girl/Boy, Fashion 3D digital print drawstring hoodies, long sleeve with big pocket front.
